Hiravias - simple cloth, weapon no matter Druid - weapon no matter, bur i prefer Guird HS, becose of +3 RESĮder as DW DPS in Sanguine Plate, becose of Armored Grace ability - he is fine Weapon: Rogue - fast (stillettos, rapiers) or sabres and maces for high-DR enemies. PC rogue/druid, wearing simple clothes until Durgan steel - becose any armor is greatly reduce offensive potential "t's a bit harder than with custom characters" - it's a bit easier, becose story companions have same level with you. If anybody is interested in more complete informations on those companion builds, just let me know and I'd be pleased to share info and progression ways (like for Eder, starting at a dual wielding fighter was tough because of the lack of deflection). Kana is really good too and can make a great tank/ off-tank/ support but I already had characters in thoses roles. I also tried Grieving mother and Sangani, but both lacked of power as crowd controler and ranged damage dealer respectively. Look at MaxQuest's build, it's really good and works just fine. Moonfire build priest of Eothas because I could not figure out how to use Durance properly. Plus, his talks to Eder and Pallegina are just too funny. ![]() Not sure I found my perfect setting yet, but he's dealing good amount of damage and debuff spells duration/area are good enough so I keep him. To be honest I did not really dig this build and just chose talents and abilities on the moment, which is why I rebuilded this guy a lot. Wearing starlit grab robe + maxing might/dex/int stuff that doesn't fit other characters. Weapons : Curoc's brand + soulboung staff Once every enemy back liner are dead because of her, you go for support with tall-grass pike than stun every body.Īloth as debuff wizzard / crowd control AOE spells I love the way I build her : while buffing my CC guys accuracy, she can one-shot the glass canons by 'wrath of the 5 suns' them or FoD with arquebus. Talents and abilities : every thing to pump accuracy and aura area + flames of devotion maxed + wrath of the 5 suns + artillery related talents Wearing : Osric's family breastplate +2 INT Weapons : Tall Grass + best arquebus I could find. Pallegina as Support / ACC buffer / ranged damage. Talents and Abilities : shock wildstrike maxed + heart of the storm to max shocking damage Wearing Blaidh Gholan armor + Echoing misery boots + wildstrike belt Weapons : Dual spear with both +25% shock damage + Persistance hunting bow (+25% shock damage) Hiravias as an Off-DPS + AoE crowd-control Usual maxing damage abilities and talents + Scion of flame talent on top to max burning damage. Wearing : Shod in faith + Sanguine plate (superb, +2 dex) + helmet of +4 might Weapons : Flames of fair rhian + Purgatory (with +25%burn damage enchant) / Best pistol I could find for combat start (+25% burn damage enchant) Other specs are almost all those Boeroer recommended in his build (thanks for the awesome work btw).Įder as a dual wielding sword DPS doing a real good job despite the lack of DEX Wielding Edge of reason + little savior / Tidefall Right now I'm lvl 12 and just finished the base game and a good part of WM1 with following team :Įquipment can be adjusted as I've not reached WM2 locations. I remplaced him with a high MIG/DEX/INT build that is able to quickly cast huge amount of heal or immunity to whatever you need within a large radius. The only exception might be Durance : I found him way too slow. ![]() It's a bit harder than with custom characters but perfectly doable if you know what you are doing and stay consistent in the talents and skill you choose. Edited Septemby ZidsterĪn update in case other people would be interest in this topic.įirst of all, I'll respond to my question : one can perfectly play on Path of the Damned difficulty with story companions. I don't really use his AoE spells that often to justify his use, most of the time it's my mage that does the damage. I am considering changing my druid into a better DPS, which I am lacking a bit atm. So far I'm doing alright, the real hard fights started with the highlevel areas from WM1. I'm playing a similar group, only diffence is I have no cipher and fighter, insteaad wizard and paladin. So just use the talents which are supportive to their role. I didn't really like those and I get much higher bonuses from buffing characters. I think fighters are the only ones who are able to max out their accuracy with talents, while others only gain a plus six bonus. But you might want to have a look in this subforum: īasically the only thing you can distribute are skills and talents. I don't know if there are really builds for these characters, as the most important thing to consider is already laid down (attributes).
